About
Laura Seixas is a Portuguese film and tv director.
With 7 years of experience directing shorts, webseries and corporate content, Laura has accumulated several successes and awards under her belt. She is co-creator of the TV show Dreaming Whilst Black for BBC3 / A24 which is based on the renowned UK webseries of the same name. The series was selected for over 33 festivals, received over 65 nominations and 36 wins and the young creative landed several awards for directing with the pilot episode.
Laura was part of the show Contado Por Mulheres where she directed one of the episodes, Serpentina. The show is a co-production from Ukbar Filmes, RTP and Krakow Film Klaster and is set to premiere later this year on primetime on RTP in Portugal before following to international audiences.
More recently, she has directed two episodes for the returning series " A Espia" featuring Daniela Ruah and Diogo Morgado for the Portuguese National Television.
Laura is a 2021 finalist on the Directors UK mentoring program Inspire. She is currently in pre-production for the short-film Salomé that will be shot in NYC.
